Random thoughts about blog search
All things being equal, search engines place a higher value on pages that have more links, since this is a sign of a worthy blog. This is actually how I got better results when I submit my blog to blog directories. The directory listings themselves don't actually generate more visitors. There is a bit of dispute about the proper number of blog directories to submit my blog to. Some people feel that I should submit my blog to as many as hundreds of blog directories, while others feel that this would be pointless.
