Log home kit What they say

The recommended way to dry the log is open air, however, because of rising demand of logs, kiln is used to dry the logs in a quick way and make them moisture free. It is also a fact that no matter what log home kit you have used, all log homes are tend to settle with time; settling means shrinking and compression of the logs. There will be less likelihood of shrinking if good seasoned logs are used. Moisture on the logs is removed by seasoning and this minimizes the probability of shrinking. Settling due to compression is unavoidable since the logs, which are mounded on top of each other, likely to press down the logs that are placed underneath.
