What is the current state of server colocation services? There are certainly still companies that over promise and under deliver. But on the norm, enough time has passed that the good companies have sorted themselves from the bad. Additionally, many of the technical failures that plagued early hosting companies are no longer an issue. Equipment like core routers, load balancers and firewalls are now in very stable releases. Another new technology in the server colocation space is virtualization.
