Employees have the ability to perform their jobs from just about every corner of the planet, thanks to mobile workforce technology. Cloud based technology is what drives a mobile workforce. LAN based technology is rapidly become obsolete as a result, as it is physically limited to the four walls of an office environment and has no application to a mobile workforce. Cloud based technology enables IT departments to maintain control over a mobile workforce; obviously, LAN cannot. A mobile workforce has to connect to the company network in order to perform their jobs while on the road.
