One of the ways in which you can add unique elements is through the wording of the announcement. Traditionally, the newborn's birth is announced by the parents. This represents one opportunity in which you may choose to add a unique touch. Do you have a favorite family pet? Your baby's birth could be announced by Fred the goldfish or Rover the dog. Are older brothers and sisters present in the family? Having the baby's brothers or sisters announce the birth allows the siblings to get involved in the excitement.
